No don't bother too much about the events. These are all commercial. There's nothing wrong with commercial events if you're going there to meet people and friends, as I'm sure you are. But if you think by NOT going to these events will kinda erode corrode who you are, then THAT'S WRONG.

Because you are who you are. If who you are is where you go to and you don't go to these events, then who are you?

So just be yourself. Like me. (I couldn't resist boasting. Sorry)
