Take art lah. Take photography only if you have DSLR, if not it's a waste of time only.

Since you will edit your picture with photo edit software, I guess you will choose Photoshop for post production edit, right?

Sigh. It will be good if I can. And true also. I had took lot of art classes before this and it is time to try something new, right? :)
